Séné: A Nonstop Party!
In Port Anna, we love a challenge. Not content with hosting the two biggest events of Morbihan Gulf Week—on Friday and Saturday—the teams from the town of Séné and local organizations typically keep the entertainment going nonstop from 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., without a single minute’s break!
“We have several stages, which allow us to have multiple entertainment spots. During each transition between two concerts, an activity or a street performance takes over!” explains Philippe Rolland, the events coordinator.
And in 2027, they’ll take on another challenge: setting up a stage on the water! “We’re going to build a pontoon in Port Anna,” says the coordinator with a smile.
Finally, every time the Conleau ferry arrives, musicians play to welcome the new arrivals—as is customary—at Port Anna!
Not a minute’s break, then. The concerts and workshops on offer are primarily rooted in Breton culture: traditional music, sea shanties, folk dances, accordion lessons… Complemented, especially in the evenings, by performances of modern and Brazilian music.
In short, for two days, thanks to the energy of the town and its organizations, the two docks at Port Anna and the path leading from the Barrarac’h dock to the port are filled with music, dancing, and the joy of celebrating and passing on a tradition that’s very much alive!
At Port Anna in Séné
Entertainment from 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday (May 7 and 8)—not a single minute without entertainment!!
Even during the breaks between concerts, we’ll ensure a lively transition.
And there will be roaming performers throughout the entire site.
We have our two diagonally positioned stages, which allow us to have two entertainment areas.
Mostly featuring traditional Breton entertainment, we’re amplifying the experience with groups of young musicians and local bands playing Brazilian music—and likely some jazz as well this year
And at our site, we’ll be welcoming people arriving from Vannes via the Conleau ferry: we’re organizing a musical welcome with accordion or traditional music. To welcome passengers from the small ferry
And the path leading from the Barrarac’h slipway to Port Anna also serves as a space for strolling…
The town of Séné is handling the setup of the stages, and this year we’ll try to add a stage on the water! By installing a pontoon in Port Anna
From early afternoon until early evening, local organizations from Séné will perform at various locations throughout the site: sea shanties, a Brazilian band, folk dances from Séné, accordion lessons, and other musical and traditional workshops.
