Undine came into our family as a present to ourselves on our 25th wedding anniversary. As sailing rookies we wanted an easy to sail and safe boat. We started to explore the lakes in eastern Germany and the shallows of the Baltic Sea and got since then some sailing experience. In the last season I managed to finish a decktent, so we did some boat camping in the danish Sydfynske Archipelago, wich was a beautiful experience. The boat is a gaffrigged small vessel with fractioned sails (5 sails actually), this gives the opportunity to adapt very quickly to changing conditions. Looking quite traditional, she has some modern features as a self-tacking jib, an inboard electric motor and the very special security-feature of self-righting. In german waters this type of boats is very rare, everyone wonders about her beauty. She is defenitely not a racer, but for comfortable solitude on the water exactly the perfect vessel for us.
