
The “Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan” welcomes a fleet of stunning historic sailing ships from France and across Europe.
By bringing these magnificent sailing ships to the Golfe du Morbihan, the organisers aim to enhance the nautical spectacle and boost the event’s appeal. This initiative also enables local and regional businesses to be involved in this major pre-season event in Morbihan.

The organisers of la Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan are currently compiling a list of exceptional sailing yachts. These vessels will accommodate between 12 and 120 passengers, depending on their size and certification.

OOSTERSCHELDE
Schooner - 50M overall
Built in 1917, the schooner is the last authentic three-masted vessel in the Netherlands. As a fast cargo ship, it could carry up to 400 tonnes of cargo. With its graceful lines and slender rigging, it is now one of the oldest ships still sailing the world’s oceans.

MORGENSTER
Brick - 49M overall
The Morgenster was launched in 1919 as a lugger specialising in herring fishing. Since 2008, she has served as a square-rigged training ship, taking part in the Tall Ship Races and offering adventure sailing trips. Seeing her sail under her own steam at maritime events is always a spectacular sight.

JANTJE
Schooner - 32M overall
The Jantje, a Danish vessel built in 1930, was originally a cod and herring fishing boat. It was converted into a sailing ship in the 1970s, becoming a magnificent brigantine-rigged schooner. Life on deck is pleasant, with a lounge area and a bar. The crew will encourage passengers to get actively involved in the manoeuvres !

Tide-chasing Lougre - 32M overall
The lougre Corentin is a replica built based on the plans of the Aimable Irma from 1840, which was part of the 19th-century coastal shipping fleet, serving the coast and the seaports and deep-water ports of the rias, from Brest to Bayonne and from Bilbao to Bergen.

Built in Spain in 1917, this 34-meter schooner was used to transport fruit, salt, and various goods to ports and anchorages throughout the Mediterranean and along the northern and western coasts of Africa. Setting sail from Torrevieja, she continues to sail around the world.
