- Burseldon gigs are sturdy boats designed to collect/ harvest oysters in shallow waters. They can be rowed with up to 5 people in clouding a cox and are very seaworthy. Salacia has been rowed competitively and for leisure in and on local,waters and rivers. She has also been rowed in the great River Race. She rows under the flag of Tudor Sailing Club Portsmouth.
