Built in 1927, Lucretia is a classic wooden sailing yacht celebrating her centenary in 2027. Once owned by Professor Sir Bryan Matthews, she is now based in Pasaia, in the Basque Country. She is managed by the Ostarte Sailing association, a group of young people passionate about the sea and dedicated to keeping maritime heritage alive through sailing and sharing her story.
Taking part in the Semaine du Golfe 2027 will be a very special way to celebrate her hundredth birthday, alongside other traditional boats and the people who keep this culture alive. A century after her launch, Lucretia continues to gather miles, encounters and stories.
