Funny Girl is a 1973 Manta 19, a 5.66-metre GRP keel-centreboard trailer cruiser designed by Anton Miglitsch and built by the Austrian Schöchl Yachtbau (now Sunbeam Yachts).
The design belongs to an early generation of affordable European GRP cruising yachts. It was developed within the same Austrian boatbuilding tradition as the Sunbeam 22, introduced by Schöchl in 1964 and produced in both keel and keel-centreboard versions. The Manta 19 has similar hull lines and the same concept of combining seaworthiness, shallow draught, road transportability and basic accommodation in a compact yacht.
Funny Girl remains in regular cruising use. She normally sails in the Øresund between Denmark and Sweden and participates in Scandinavian rallies of the Dinghy Cruising Association. She has a cabin with sleeping accommodation, a ballasted keel-centreboard configuration and is equipped for independent coastal cruising.
