Curach Dhún Chaocháin
- A boat design derived from ancient types, originally a wicker frame with a skin cover, modernised in the 19th century to canvass and tar. From a plan taken by my grandfather Padraig Mac Conghamhna from a working boat in 1936. An example of the largest traditional curach used in Ireland, with a crew of 5.
